At Lifespan Fitness, we've spent years catering to the fitness needs of Aussies across the country, so we know a thing or two about what makes or breaks a good weight plate. This collection is designed to cater to just about every type of trainer and every type of fitness routine.
About Our Gym Weight Plates
We have a huge selection of weight plates for you to choose from. At the top of the range, we have our Olympic bumper plates. These are built to the standards of International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) and are fully competition grade. They're suitable for hard drops and high-intensity barbell workouts. The Olympic range also include out Tri-Grip plates that create easy handling and are perfect for standalone plate workouts. Next, we have our signature Endurashell plates, which consist of strong PVC coating with a cement filling. Lastly, there's our cast-iron plates, designed to be rust and chip free.
Weight Plates FAQ
Weight plates are weight discs that can be used for a wide variety of strength and resistance workouts.
You want to make sure you have a good spread of weights that will allow you to progress in resistance as you improve. We have a range of weight plates packages designed to fully kit out your home fitness space.
Fractional plates have much smaller weight amounts as low as 0.25kg, allowing you to fine tune your weight workout down to the decimal place. They're good for incremental increases that help you slowly build up to higher weights.
The main two categories of weight plate to be aware of are standard and Olympic. The simple rule is, if you have a standard bar, get a standard plate (and vice-versa for Olympic).
